Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Red Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Red Bush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank West! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from West misses the target. Bush seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. West has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bush is landing a low percentage of strikes. West uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bush. West steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bush. West connects with a looping right hand.
West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. West ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. West uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bush.
Bush connects with a right hand. West shakes it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bush gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bush blocks an uppercut.

I was talking to Bush's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Frank West showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Red Bush's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Frank West is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A swing and a miss from Bush. West thumps Bush with a low kick. West connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Bush moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Bush moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

West lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bush backwards. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bush throws an elbow but it's blocked.
