Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Galvao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slim Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galvao comes to the cage accompanied by Kodaline - All I Want. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Galvao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Slim Jim ! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galvao shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jim but Jim pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jim lands with a nice combination. Galvao backs away looking to recover. Galvao throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Galvao sets himself, and Jim steps forward looking for the clinch! Galvao avoids it this time. Jim tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Galvao defends well and Jim ends up having to push Galvao into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jim shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Galvao defends it nicely. Galvao shoots and misses and Jim counters with a good, hard body kick but Galvao shrugs it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Galvao moves out of range of the body kick from Jim .
Jim scores with a hook to the body. Galvao takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Galvao avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jim blocks a head kick by Galvao.
Jim tries to counter with a clinch but Galvao shakes him off and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jim shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Galvao as he avoids it easily. Galvao appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Rafael Galvao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slim Jim . Jim closes this distance looking for a takedown but Galvao circles away. Jim dives in and grabs Galvao's left leg, looking for a takedown. Galvao pushes down on Jim 's head and hops out. Galvao fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jim sprawls well initially but Galvao persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Galvao stalling. Galvao's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Galvao has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jim defend it? Galvao steps over the head and cranks it - Jim is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Galvao!
