The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donowitz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kim. That did some damage! Kim throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Donowitz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Sloppy strikes from Donowitz. Those never looked like landing. Kim takes one to the chin there. Donowitz misses with an uppercut. Kim saw that one coming. A slow jab from Kim misses its intended target. Donowitz smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Donowitz fails with the takedown. Kim misses with a low kick.
Donowitz tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kim walks into a jab. Kim has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Donowitz blocks a low kick nicely. Donowitz thows a left - swing and a miss! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kim lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Donowitz has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Donowitz and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A little feinted left hand from Donowitz on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Donowitz blocks the body kick.
Kim connects with a right hand. Donowitz shakes it off. Donowitz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. It looks like Donowitz has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Kim slips a jab from Donowitz. Kim avoids the body shot from Donowitz.

Donowitz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kim - the referee stops the clock and Donowitz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kim. Donowitz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Kim takes one on the button. Kim walks into a stiff left hand from Donowitz. Kim fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Donowitz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kim throws a half hearted mid kick.

Donk. Donowitz catches Kim right on the button with a cross. Kim lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
