Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Castor Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateus Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Broke & Hungry . Castor Rollins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Castor Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Mateus Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rollins looks to land a left hand but Gracie moved out of range nicely.
Gracie throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Gracie shoots in and bounces Rollins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gracie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Gracie advances position into side control!
Rollins is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Rollins wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rollins trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Rollins can't escape the position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gracie prevents Rollins from getting the reversal.

Rollins tries to hold on but Gracie pushes him away.

We've been hearing good reports from Rollins's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Gracie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rollins looks a forlorn figure.
Rollins sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Gracie looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rollins wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rollins is working hard here to advance position.
Gracie works his way into full mount!
Gracie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Gracie with the ground and pound from mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rollins is working to get back to half guard.

Gracie lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Gracie scoring with strikes but Rollins is staying in there.

Rollins is in all sorts of trouble here.
A nice elbow there by Gracie.

Rollins is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Gracie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rollins manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The strikes coming from Gracie are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gracie is putting a hurting on Rollins here, landing some big shots from side control.
Gracie scoring with punches and elbows.
Gracie in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Rollins tries to improve position but can't.
Rollins taking punishment in the form of punches.
Rollins gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Gracie scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Rollins's temple.
Rollins keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Gracie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rollins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gracie working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Rollins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rollins.
Rollins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Rollins scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rollins trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rollins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gracie is tightening it up a little... Rollins has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rollins reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rollins taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gracie!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mateus Gracie!
Mateus Gracie took some time post fight to say the following; 'Put that shit in one of your damn forum threads!! Gracie drops the mic and walks out of the cage....'.
