Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fireaway Flanagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is KoRn En Vivo Mtv. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pablo Escobar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fireaway Flanagan! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escobar misses the body punch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Escobar lands with a hook. Flanagan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Escobar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Escobar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Flanagan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Flanagan looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Flanagan scores with a jab to the body. Flanagan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Escobar was well out of range. Poor timing from Flanagan. Escobar throws a body punch but Flanagan moves out of range. Flanagan throws a hook but Escobar avoids it easily. Escobar attempts a counter takedown but Flanagan avoids it well and moves away. Escobar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Escobar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Escobar fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Flanagan to the ground. Escobar is now in Flanagan's guard. Escobar trying to control the position from guard on top but Flanagan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Escobar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Escobar wants to pass the guard but Flanagan is keeping the position. Escobar slips nicely into half guard.

Escobar stalling away here and it's allowed Flanagan to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Flanagan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Escobar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Escobar decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Flanagan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Escobar is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Flanagan's half guard. Flanagan is pressing down on Escobar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. That was a close round but I would say that Pablo Escobar will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Escobar wants to control from the top but Flanagan keeps moving. Flanagan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Flanagan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Flanagan stays in close to Escobar's body and controls the position. Flanagan tries to stand but Escobar is controlling from the bottom. Escobar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Pablo Escobar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Escobar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flanagan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Flanagan stands and throws Escobar's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Flanagan working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Escobar is trying to get back to half guard. Escobar is not content to let Flanagan control the position. Escobar tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Flanagan easily slips into full mount! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Flanagan has a takedown stuffed. Flanagan scores with a leg kick.
A jab lands there for Escobar. Flanagan slips under a jab. Escobar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Flanagan tries to bum rush Escobar with a series of wild strikes but Escobar uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Flanagan takes one to the side of the head.

Escobar throws a jab but it's blocked by Flanagan. Flanagan connects with a body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Escobar clinches up with Flanagan and pushes him back against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Pablo Escobar showed his dominance in that final round. I think Escobar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
