Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Munson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Synyx Dall!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Synyx Dall has been cut.
Munson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Munson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dall on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Munson. Munson obviously looking to wear him down.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Munson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dall - the referee stops the clock and Munson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dall. Munson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Dall lands a head shot.
Dall misses with a kick to the body.
Munson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dall.
Dall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Munson lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Dall scores with a decent looking hook.
Munson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dall.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dall throws a hook but Munson blocks it.
Dall checks a leg kick.
Dall connects with a looping right hand.
Munson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dall.
Munson connects with a single shot there.
Dall takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Munson keeps Dall at a distance using the push kick.
Dall throws a push kick but Munson slaps the foot to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round.
An inside leg kick lands from Munson.
Munson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Munson misses with a head kick.
Munson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Dall goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Munson slaps away a takedown attempt from Dall, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dall throws a big shot that misses.
Munson throws a jab when Dall was well out of range.
Dall is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Munson moves out of range of the strikes.
Dall cracks Munson with a right hand to the side of the head.
Dall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Munson moves away.
Munson feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Munson lands a jab to Dall's midsection.
Synyx Dall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Munson with a hook.
Munson throws a push kick but Dall slaps the foot to one side.
Dall blocks the body kick.
Dall walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Munson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Dall misses with a left hand
and Munson counters with a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dall missing with a left hand there. Munson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
It looked like Munson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dall.
Dall misses with a shot to the body
and Munson counters with a nice uppercut.
Munson wants to slow Dall down by chopping away at his legs.
A jab lands there for Dall.
Munson tried to score with a low kick but Dall checks it.
Munson lands a big head kick that sends Dall tumbling to the mat! Munson takes a step backwards and waves Dall back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Dall is rocked!
Munson steps in with a hook that catches Dall right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Munson follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Dall looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Munson!
