Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronaldo Caiman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slim Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caiman's entrance music is Iron - Woodkid. A fine choice. Ronaldo Caiman could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Slim Jim 's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaldo Caiman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Slim Jim !
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caiman misses with a left hand
and Jim counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jim !

Jim shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Caiman napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Caiman manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Caiman is pressing down on Jim 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Caiman lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jim keeping moving, preventing Caiman from controlling successfully.
Caiman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jim is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jim is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jim working for a triangle but Caiman defends it easily.
Caiman trying to control but Jim is working from the bottom.
Caiman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Jim manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jim 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jim feints and as Caiman raises his hands in defense, Jim changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Caiman pulls Jim in to control the position.
Caiman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jim manages to get himself to full guard.

Caiman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jim 's guard.

Caiman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Jim is defending against the submission attempts here by Caiman.

Caiman seems to be looking for submissions.
Caiman wants to take a breather but Jim is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caiman is thwarting Jim 's attempts to control the position.
Caiman slows the pace down in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jim is trying to control but Caiman passes into side control!
Caiman tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Jim is trying to control Caiman's posture but Caiman avoids it.
Jim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caiman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jim is not content to let Caiman control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Caiman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jim is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ronaldo Caiman will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Caiman fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jim on the side of the head.
Caiman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jim but Jim pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jim gets off balance looking for a body kick

so Caiman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Caiman trying to control but Jim is working from the bottom.
Ronaldo Caiman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Caiman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jim wants to control the position but Caiman says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Caiman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jim is in trouble now - Caiman has advanced to mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caiman trying to control but Jim is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Caiman swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ronaldo Caiman!
Ronaldo Caiman spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
