Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Palaktingpuet Payakarakatong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Jedrzejczyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Payakarakatong comes to the ring accompanied by "Song For The Dead". Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jan Jedrzejczyk! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Payakarakatong has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jedrzejczyk. Jedrzejczyk looks to land a combination but Payakarakatong avoids it well. Jedrzejczyk misses the jab. The fighters circling - Jedrzejczyk throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Payakarakatong slips a jab and a cross from Jedrzejczyk.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jedrzejczyk looks to score with a jab to the body but Payakarakatong is just out of range. Jedrzejczyk blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Jedrzejczyk looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Payakarakatong misses with a knee to the head. Payakarakatong avoids a wild elbow strike from Jedrzejczyk. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jedrzejczyk. Jedrzejczyk on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jedrzejczyk is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Payakarakatong is keeping busy. Jedrzejczyk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Payakarakatong is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jedrzejczyk is defending well for now. Jedrzejczyk is fighting off a takedown attempt but Payakarakatong is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jedrzejczyk to the mat. Jedrzejczyk regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Jedrzejczyk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Payakarakatong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Payakarakatong chips away with some ground and pound. Payakarakatong throws a big right hand that misses. Payakarakatong controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Payakarakatong continues to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payakarakatong drops back looking for a leg! Jedrzejczyk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jedrzejczyk manages to kick Payakarakatong off! Payakarakatong jumps back into Jedrzejczyk's guard. Payakarakatong throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Payakarakatong with a nice head shot there. Payakarakatong engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Payakarakatong working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Payakarakatong showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Payakarakatong passes Jedrzejczyk's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Payakarakatong has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jedrzejczyk defend it? Payakarakatong steps over the head and cranks it - Jedrzejczyk is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Payakarakatong!
