Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Michael Murdock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Dunas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Andrei Dunas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murdock tried to score with a low kick but Dunas checks it.
Dunas moves out of range of the strikes.
Murdock throws a shot from downtown. Dunas moves away and avoids it.

Dunas has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Dunas cracks Murdock with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Murdock throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Dunas connects with a good right hand that stumbles Murdock. Murdock circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Dunas is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Murdock had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Murdock lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Murdock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dunas does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Dunas just misses with a punch to the body.
Dunas connects with a leg kick. Murdock looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dunas crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Murdock - the referee stops the clock and Dunas gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Murdock. Dunas manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michael Murdock.
I think Dunas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
