Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stan Marsh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsh pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Spillane closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marsh circles away.
Spillane shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Marsh counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Marsh lands with a kick to the temple. Spillane shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Marsh connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Spillane fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nickey Spillane. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Spillane gets a double leg takedown into Marsh's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marsh is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Spillane presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Marsh is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Spillane is keeping busy.
Marsh is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.

I was talking to Spillane's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Marsh tries to work over Spillane's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Spillane lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Spillane's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Marsh throws a punch but it's blocked by Spillane.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A short body shot lands from Spillane as the two fighters clinch.
Marsh scores with a nice hook to the head.

Spillane throws a punch but it's blocked by Marsh.

Spillane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spillane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marsh as he avoids it easily.
Spillane closes the distance and clinches up with Marsh, looking for a takedown. Spillane pushes Marsh against the cage but Marsh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Spillane shoots in for a takedown but Marsh shows good takedown defense.
Spillane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Spillane wants to clinch up but Marsh keeps it at a distance.
Marsh looks to score with a jab to the body but Spillane is just out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Spillane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Spillane slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Spillane is in close to Marsh's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Marsh is looking to stand up but Spillane isn't so interested in that idea.

That was a close round but I would say that Nickey Spillane will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Spillane shoots in for a takedown but Marsh shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Spillane shoots in looking for a takedown but Marsh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spillane's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Marsh cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marsh circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Spillane tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Marsh wins by KO!
