Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gerardo Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerardo Washington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Franks! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franks tries to clinch but Washington is having none of it. Franks shoots in for a takedown but Washington shows good takedown defense. Franks moves away from the strike by Washington. Franks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Franks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Franks lands a few punches from side control. Washington is looking to regain half guard here but Franks keeps moving and retains side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Washington struggling a bit here. Washington tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franks lands a few punches from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Franks just content to control the position. Washington is trying to control Franks's posture but Franks avoids it. Washington is looking for a sweep. Franks decides to stand back up. Franks lands a nice looking body shot.
Franks fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Washington avoids it really well and circles away. Franks tries to clinch but Washington moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franks shoots and misses and Washington counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Gerardo Washington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Franks. Franks shoots in for a double leg but Washington sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Franks fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Washington to the ground. Franks is now in Washington's guard. Washington is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. This has been an exciting period of action! Washington lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Washington is working for takedown but Franks is calmly controlling the position for now. Washington is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Franks to keep the fight standing. Franks is looking to take this one to the mat. Washington tries for a takedown but Franks manages to get underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franks ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Franks no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Franks looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Washington passes into half guard.
Franks looks winded! Franks wants to control but Washington is keeping busy and won't allow it. Franks is trying to get back to full guard. Franks is looking to get back to is feet but Washington passes into side control.
Washington wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Franks, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Washington working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Franks throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Franks is trying hard to land a takedown here. Washington sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Washington misses with a straight left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jack Franks will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Washington throws a sloppy head kick and Franks moves out of range easily. Franks looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Washington throws a leg kick that misses. Franks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Washington tries to avoid it but Franks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Washington to the ground. Washington escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Washington looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Franks with a lazy takedown attempt and Washington counters with an outside leg kick.
Washington moves out of range as Franks strikes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Franks. Gerardo Washington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. And Washington counters with a quick kick to the body but Franks blocks it. Franks is breathing heavily. Franks with a lazy takedown attempt and Washington counters with a nice body kick.

The fighters land in half guard but Franks regains guard immediately. Franks lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Washington trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Washington is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Franks is aware though and is defending well. Franks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Washington trying to keep a closed guard but Franks is proving a slippery customer.
Washington wants to stand and escape but Franks is having none of it. Washington looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Washington wriggles free and stands up. Franks has his takedown stuffed and Franks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Franks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Washington half committed to a counter leg kick. Jack Franks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franks fails with the takedown and Washington counters with a stiff right hand. Franks takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Washington defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Franks. Washington is looking to counter with a body kick. Washington plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Franks takes one to the side of the head.
Washington displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Franks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Washington throws a head kick but Franks moves out of range.
Franks misses with a takedown and Washington counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Franks is lucky that one didn't land flush. Franks on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Franks fails with the takedown and Washington counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Washington pushes Franks up against the cage in a clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Franks is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Franks shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Washington is trying to defend but Franks finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Washington has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Franks is on him like a limpet, forcing Washington back against the cage. Washington has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Franks is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Washington is trying to pull guard but Franks turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Washington manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Franks postures up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Washington holds on and takes a little breather. Washington not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Franks sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Washington's guard. Franks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Washington doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Franks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Washington is looking to escape. Franks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Franks is pressing down on Washington's thigh, looking to free his foot. Washington is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Washington is looking for a sweep. Franks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Washington is looking to get back to full guard here but Franks has managed to pass to side control instead. Washington is trying to get back to half guard. Franks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Washington has escaped the position, nice work there. Washington is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franks stands up and beckons Washington to his feet. Franks closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Washington did well to prevent Franks getting side control. Washington is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Washington is trying to control but can't.
Washington is pressing down on Franks's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Franks postures up and lands a big shot to Washington's brow. Washington wants to stand and escape but Franks is having none of it. Washington is working an open guard so Franks takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Franks fails with a takedown attempt. Franks just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromWashington. Washington pushes Franks away with a front kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Franks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jack Franks. I think Franks has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
