Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Williamson!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williamson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Nettaigyo leaves Williamson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Williamson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nettaigyo's waist but Nettaigyo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williamson off to one side.
Nettaigyo is looking to counter the offense by Williamson and move into the clinch.
Williamson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nettaigyo sprawls well. Nettaigyo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Williamson gets slowly back to his feet.

Williamson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nettaigyo is fending him off so far but Williamson persists. Nope, Nettaigyo circles away and we're back to standing.
