Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Camatta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Farouk Al Ahwei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Ahwei is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Please Release Me. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Camatta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Farouk Al Ahwei! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Ahwei throws a hook but Camatta blocks it. Camatta misses with a looping right. Al Ahwei checks a leg kick nicely. Camatta dips to his left and cracks Al Ahwei with an uppercut! Al Ahwei with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Camatta takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Camatta throws a lazy right hand but Al Ahwei sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Nice defenses there by Al Ahwei. Camatta takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Camatta ducks right into an uppercut from Al Ahwei. Al Ahwei lands a nice shot that snaps Camatta's head back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big right from Camatta misses. Al Ahwei misses with a wild body shot. Camatta throws a jab but it's blocked by Al Ahwei. Al Ahwei is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Al Ahwei lands a nice looking kick to the body. Camatta takes a step back to recover. Camatta doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Al Ahwei scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Camatta throws out a loose jab but Al Ahwei uses good head movement to avoid it. Al Ahwei scoring well with a low kick there.

Al Ahwei has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Camatta can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Al Ahwei not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Al Ahwei throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Camatta escapes and throws Al Ahwei's legs to the side, diving into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Al Ahwei is looking for a sweep. Camatta creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. That's two minutes gone in the round. Al Ahwei tries to bench press Camatta off him but Camatta keeps the position. Al Ahwei regains half guard there - taking advantage of Camatta's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Camatta is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Al Ahwei has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Camatta is working away from the top position though. Camatta seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Al Ahwei tries to roll over but Camatta keeps him under control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The fighters are battling for position here. Al Ahwei manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Camatta stands up over Al Ahwei, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Al Ahwei has his hands clasped together around Camatta's back. He's all about the action. Camatta wants to pass to mount but Al Ahwei is defending the position. Al Ahwei is looking to control Camatta's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Al Ahwei avoid being mounted? Camatta is nestled in close to Al Ahwei, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
