Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Apollo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Apollo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes throws a body shot but no joy.
Mendes clinches up with Apollo and pushes him back against the cage.
Apollo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Apollo throws a sloppy head kick and Mendes moves out of range easily.
Apollo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mendes takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mendes moves to clinch but Apollo breaks away
and Apollo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mendes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mendes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mendes closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Apollo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mendes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mendes looks to clinch
and Apollo counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Apollo takes a swing at Mendes's ribcage but misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Apollo moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Apollo clinches up with Mendes and pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Apollo cracks Mendes with a nice body shot.
Apollo lands a left hand.
Apollo lands a body shot.
Apollo lands a shoulder strike.
Mendes is looking for a takedown.
Apollo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Apollo circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Mendes drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Apollo follows Mendes to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Apollo!
Our winner, Max Apollo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
