Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaldo Caiman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robbie Rothwell!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caiman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Caiman.
Caiman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rothwell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rothwell falls off balance throwing a combination

and Caiman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rothwell won't be happy with that.
Rothwell is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Caiman has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Caiman advances nicely into full mount.

Caiman looking for a guillotine from mount but Rothwell is having none of it.
You get the feeling that Rothwell really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Caiman looking to control and managing it successfully.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Caiman goes for an armbar but Rothwell turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Rothwell.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caiman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Caiman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Caiman keeping moving, preventing Rothwell from controlling successfully.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Caiman holds on and takes a little breather.
Rothwell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Caiman looking for a guillotine here but Rothwell defends easily.
Caiman has a closed guard, preventing Rothwell from standing up.
Caiman is pulling down on Rothwell's head. It's preventing any offense from Rothwell, at least for the moment.
Rothwell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Caiman is proving hard to escape from.
Caiman seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Caiman has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rothwell should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Caiman has tightened it up now! Rothwell should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

After the fight, Ronaldo Caiman was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
