Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Vurny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil High (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aldo Vurny! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Phil High! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice leg kick lands there from High. High stuffs the takedown attempt from Vurny. Vurny gets slowly back to his feet. Phil High seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vurny looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Vurny checks a low kick from High. High on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Vurny definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. High lands a head kick!
It looks like Aldo Vurny has been cut. High lands with a nice body punch. High takes a shot right to the bread basket. Vurny keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vurny lands with a hook. High tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. High looks to score with a jab to the body but Vurny is just out of range. High throws an off balance right hand
and Vurny counters with a three punch combo that has High backing up. High nods at Vurny to acknowledge the strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vurny closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vurny lands in his opponent's guard. High is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Vurny dives into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vurny misses with the ground and pound. High is looking to regain half guard here but Vurny keeps moving and retains side control. High is trying to control Vurny's posture but Vurny avoids it. Vurny throwing strikes but High manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Vurny is looking for a sweep. High tries to stand but Vurny is controlling his head. High decides to stand back up. High steps back and let's Vurny get back to his feet. High sizes up Vurny with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Vurny!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vurny cracks High with a good jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A telegraphed right hand from High misses the target. Vurny lands a really nice looking cross but High seems unphased.
A jab from High misses. A slow jab from Vurny misses its intended target. A solid body kick from High. Vurny uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by High.
Vurny shoots in and bounces High off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. High is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. High wants to sweep here but Vurny controlling him for the moment. High preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vurny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. High swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vurny wants to control from the top but High keeps moving. High manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vurny manages to get himself to full guard.
High wants to control from the top but Vurny keeps moving. High stopping the sweep attempt from Vurny. Vurny is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. High is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vurny lands a nice short elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. High has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vurny is working away from the top position though. Vurny winds up and cracks High with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Vurny throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Vurny tries to pass to full mount but High defends it. Vurny not landing any meaningful shots this time. High wants to improve his position but Vurny is controlling well.
Vurny trying to pass the guard but High defending well. High taking some punishment here, with Vurny in his half guard. High kicks Vurny off and gets back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! High throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
High keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Vurny. High throws out a counter right but Vurny avoids it with no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aldo Vurny will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Aldo Vurny's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
High thuds his shin into the meat of Vurny's side. Vurny closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Vurny prevents High from improving his position. Vurny has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vurny wants to control but High is keeping him busy. Vurny throwing shots but High is blocking nicely. High is looking to control Vurny's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can High avoid being mounted? High felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Aldo Vurny overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vurny throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. High is trying is best to control the position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. High trying to control from the bottom.
High is controlling Vurny's position as best he can from this difficult position. Vurny seems to be looking for submissions.
Vurny working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vurny takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Vurny thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed High's head. Well, if Vurny is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. High tries to roll over but Vurny keeps him under control. Vurny working over High with some ground and pound. High looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Vurny missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Vurny seems to be working for a kimura but High defends the submission attempt. High is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vurny's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vurny's back! Vurny tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Vurny is working to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. High postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vurny looks a forlorn figure.
High takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. High prevents Vurny from getting the reversal. Vurny tries to hold on but High postures up. Vurny bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Vurny scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vurny preventing the sweep. Vurny is pushing down on High's leg trying to pass to half guard. High is fighting to maintain full guard but Vurny has managed to sneak the leg through. High wants to control but Vurny is keeping busy.
High is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vurny is looking for a kimura here.
Vurny is looking to advance position but High won't allow it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vurny wants to control but High is keeping him busy. Vurny throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aldo Vurny dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Aldo Vurny's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
High throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Vurny counters with a stiff right hand. High connects with a jab.
Aldo Vurny's cut is getting worse. Excellent takedown into side control there by Vurny. Vurny wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by High, who protects the arm well. Vurny trying to control the action but High is working from the bottom. High manages to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. High is in trouble now - Vurny has advanced to mount! BOOM! Vurny connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The referee warns High that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vurny dominating with strikes here. Vurny lands with some strikes. High keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Vurny lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. High is in a horrible position here. Vurny smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Vurny raining down shots from the mount! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Vurny cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
BOOM! Vurny connects with a massive shot to the dome!
High tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vurny unloading with bombs!
High is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vurny postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have High in real trouble here! The ref calls for High to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aldo Vurny! Aldo Vurny is the new light heavyweight champion! Aldo Vurny decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
