Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randolph Turpin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Ripgut!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripgut bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ripgut counters with a body kick.
Ripgut staying out of range there.
Turpin misses with an uppercut. Ripgut saw that one coming.
Ripgut uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Turpin.
Ripgut takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Turpin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Randolph Turpin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Turpin throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Ripgut counters with a good, hard body kick but Turpin shrugs it off.
Turpin is breathing heavily.
Ripgut slips under a jab from Turpin.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turpin misses with a left hand
letting Ripgut counter with a right hand.


It looks like Randolph Turpin has been cut.
Turpin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Turpin throws a shot from downtown. Ripgut moves away and avoids it.
Turpin is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Turpin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Turpin throws a hook but Ripgut avoids it easily.
Turpin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ripgut is looking for the big counter here.
Turpin misses with an uppercut. Ripgut saw that one coming.
Turpin scores with a hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turpin misses with a lunging right hand
and as Turpin loses concentration momentarily, Ripgut counters with a picture perfect head kick! Turpin goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Shane Ripgut!
Shane Ripgut gave a mention to Sully's Bar & Grill in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
The defeated Randolph Turpin had this to say: 'I've had a great career, can't complain, good luck to the kid.'.
