Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carmine Persico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortez comes into the arena with What a Wonderful World blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Persico swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cortez.
Cortez throws a series of punches but Persico avoids them all with ease.
Cortez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Persico finds it's way round the side to connect with Cortez's head.
A swing and a miss from Persico.
Cortez is looking for a counter combo.
Nice straight punches there by Persico. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Persico.
Cortez is rocked!
It looks like Tristan Cortez has been cut.
Persico throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cortez tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Persico manages to circle out of the way.
Cortez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Oh Cortez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cortez walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Persico! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
