Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kylar Sensei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kylar Sensei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Cruz! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ben Hemmingworth and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sensei scores with a punch to the head. Cruz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sensei. Cruz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sensei appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Cruz keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sensei. Cruz feints a counter leg kick. Cruz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cruz tries to break the clinch but Sensei is controlling the position. Sensei is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cruz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Sensei turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Cruz stuck in half guard on the bottom here. You can see the frustration on Cruz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cruz takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Sensei working away. Cruz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sensei haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sensei working the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cruz is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sensei scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cruz to see if he's OK. Sensei working away. Sensei has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cruz avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sensei. Sensei is trying to get an arm triangle but Cruz is defending well. Sensei trying to control the action but Cruz is working from the bottom. Cruz is looking for a sweep. Check out the look on Sensei's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Cruz is trying to control Sensei's posture but Sensei avoids it. Sensei cracks Cruz with an elbow. That is naaassty. We've been hearing that Sensei has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Cruz tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sensei wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cruz, who protects the arm well. Cruz sneaks back into half guard. Sensei drops an elbow to the side of Cruz's head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sensei connects with a nice short shot to Cruz's temple. Cruz is doing well to control the position and prevent Sensei from advancing to side control. Sensei lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Cruz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Cruz blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sensei. Sensei wants to pass to mount but Cruz is defending the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sensei working Cruz over with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cruz. Sensei trying to control the position from guard on top but Cruz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cruz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Sensei wants to control from the top but Cruz keeps moving. Cruz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sensei defends it easily. Sensei lands a couple of decent looking shots. Cruz tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sensei postures up and lands a big shot to Cruz's brow. Sensei chips away with some ground and pound. Cruz is looking for a triangle but Sensei pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cruz trying to control but Sensei postures up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sensei connects with a nice short shot to Cruz's temple. Cruz tries to roll over but Sensei keeps him under control. Cruz is not content to let Sensei control the position. Sensei is nestled in close to Cruz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Cruz preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Cruz trying to control from the bottom.
Cruz gets back to full guard.
Sensei is in close to Cruz's body, working some short punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kylar Sensei dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Cruz misses with a looping right. Sensei loads up on a big right hand but Cruz slips the punch. Cruz thows a body kick. Sensei tries to catch it but that hurt him. Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch but Sensei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sensei ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Cruz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dom Cruz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sensei lands a nice hook to Cruz's body. Cruz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Cruz throws a head kick that Sensei semi-blocks.

enabling Sensei to counter with a crisp jab. Sensei misses with a series of wild punches.
Sensei ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cruz moves away. Cruz moves out of range as Sensei strikes. Cruz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sensei stuns Cruz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Cruz throws a series of punches but Sensei moves out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cruz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sensei.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sensei. Sensei throws a body punch but Cruz moves out of range. Sensei misses with an uppercut. Dom Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cruz slips under a jab from Sensei. Cruz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cruz wants to clinch. Sensei lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sensei looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. A big left from Sensei misses. Cruz steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Sensei. Sensei misses with a body shot.
Sensei is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cruz can do to turn this around? Good work by Sensei as he checks the leg kick. Cruz thows a leg kick but Sensei checks it and Sensei connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cruz misses with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sensei thuds a left hand into Cruz's body. Cruz tried to score with a low kick but Sensei checks it. Sensei was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Cruz takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cruz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sensei connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cruz slaps away a takedown attempt from Sensei, before circling back to the center of the mat. Cruz darts in and clinches Sensei up against the cage. Cruz doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Cruz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cruz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Cruz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sensei controls the pace. Sensei stands up over Cruz, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Sensei trying to control but Cruz is working from the bottom. Cruz working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sensei.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz is controlling Sensei's posture. Sensei with a flurry of punches that miss. Cruz has Sensei pulled in close to control his posture. Sensei trying to control the position from guard on top but Cruz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sensei postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sensei with a nice head shot there. Kylar Sensei overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cruz trying to keep a closed guard but Sensei is proving a slippery customer.
Cruz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sensei defends well. Sensei drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sensei jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sensei won't allow Cruz to sweep him here. Sensei postures up.
Sensei cracks Cruz with a solid left hand. Cruz controlling the position. Sensei trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cruz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cruz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sensei stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cruz swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kylar Sensei dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Cruz walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sensei checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Cruz tried to score with a low kick but Sensei checks it. Sensei takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Cruz misses with a wild body shot. Sensei swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sensei lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Cruz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sensei regains full guard. Nicely done. Cruz is in close to Sensei's body, working some short punches and elbows. Cruz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Cruz lands strikes from half guard. Sensei wants to control but Cruz is keeping busy.

Sensei is looking for a sweep. Cruz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cruz trying to advance position but Sensei counters by regaining guard. Cruz with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Cruz stands up over Sensei, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Cruz is pushing down on Sensei's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sensei is fighting to maintain full guard but Cruz has managed to sneak the leg through. Cruz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Sensei is staying active underneath Cruz, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kylar Sensei is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Sensei manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cruz looking to sit in guard and control but Sensei gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sensei slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Sensei advances to half guard. Dom Cruz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cruz wants to control but Sensei is keeping busy and won't allow it. Still in half guard, Sensei seems content to control. Cruz taking some punishment here, with Sensei in his half guard. Sensei slows the pace down in half guard. Cruz is trying is best to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz tries to get to full guard but Sensei has control of the leg. Cruz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sensei is trying to control. Cruz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Cruz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sensei landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Sensei sitting and controlling from the half guard. Sensei is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sensei is trying to control. Cruz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Sensei looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Sensei working the head and body with strikes. Cruz is looking to control Sensei's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cruz avoid being mounted? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cruz is trying to stand.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kylar Sensei. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sensei, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
