Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zack Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wesley Whitaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zack Porter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wesley Whitaker ! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Chris Dean and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whitaker misses with a low kick as Porter jumps back. Porter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Whitaker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Porter's guard. Whitaker controls from within his opponent's guard. Whitaker looking to sit in guard and control but Porter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Porter looking to sit in guard and control but Whitaker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Whitaker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Porter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Whitaker tries to free his leg and advance position but Porter is retaining full guard. Whitaker wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whitaker postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Whitaker lands a couple of digs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whitaker scoring with punches to the head and body. Whitaker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Porter's head. Porter keeping moving, preventing Whitaker from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Whitaker controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Whitaker works a leg free and moves into half guard. Porter really is a fat lump. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Whitaker connects with a nice short shot to Porter's temple. Porter is staying active underneath Whitaker , who seems content to just control the action from this position. Whitaker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whitaker wants to pass the guard but Porter is defending well. Whitaker trying to control from half guard but Porter is working away.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Porter keeps the fight on the outside. Whitaker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Whitaker throws a lazy uppercut
and Porter counters with a two punch combo. Porter fails to land with a series of punches.
Whitaker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Porter scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Zack Porter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Porter is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Whitaker closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Porter's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whitaker stands up over Porter, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Whitaker 's corner is telling him to maintain position. It looks like Whitaker might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Whitaker trying to control but Porter is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Whitaker might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Porter haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Whitaker connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Porter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Whitaker gets a takedown into half guard. Whitaker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Whitaker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Porter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Whitaker is pressing down on Porter's thigh, looking to free his foot. Porter is holding on for now. Whitaker missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Whitaker stalling away here and it's allowed Porter to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Whitaker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Whitaker trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Whitaker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Whitaker is in close to Porter's body, working some short punches and elbows. Whitaker stays in close to Porter's body and controls the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Whitaker manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Porter on his heels. He'll look to pass Porter's guard now, I'm sure. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Whitaker trying to control but Porter is working from the bottom. Whitaker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Whitaker trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Whitaker advances to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whitaker wants to take a breather but Porter is having none of it. Whitaker trying to control from Porter's half guard. Porter has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Whitaker wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving. Whitaker distracts Porter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Whitaker keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Porter's head. Whitaker trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Whitaker connects with a couple of short punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Whitaker wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Porter tries to close the distance and clinch but Whitaker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Porter closes the distance and clinches. Porter tries to work over Whitaker 's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Porter tries to pull guard but Whitaker holds him up against the cage and eventually Porter drops back down to his feet.
Porter jumps guard but Whitaker stands there with Porter around his waist. Porter gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wesley Whitaker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Porter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Whitaker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Porter keeping moving, preventing Whitaker from controlling successfully. Whitaker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Whitaker stands and throws Porter's legs to the side, diving into side control. Porter takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Whitaker is looking to take a break and control but Porter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Whitaker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Whitaker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Wesley Whitaker has got the better of the ground game so far. Whitaker trying to control the action but Porter is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Porter is working to avoid the ground and pound but Whitaker connects with a decent elbow. Whitaker grinds an elbow into Porter's temple. Whitaker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Porter keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whitaker is staying tight to Porter's torso, preventing him from escaping. Whitaker trying to control the action but Porter is working from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Whitaker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Whitaker is trying to control. Porter wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whitaker perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Whitaker working the head and body with strikes. Whitaker trying to control from half guard but Porter is working away. Whitaker trying to mount his opponent but Porter defends it. Whitaker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Porter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zack Porter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wesley Whitaker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
