Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tanishk Soni (ranked 9490 p4p, 773 weight class) and Jesus Gonzalez (ranked 10264 p4p, 848 weight class). Gonzalez has chosen Why Cant we Be Friends! as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
36 - 45 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Tanishk Soni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
41 - 38 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesus Gonzalez! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Soni closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonzalez tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Soni has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Gonzalez is trying to reverse the position but instead Soni has taken his back - oops!
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gonzalez showing good submission defense here.
Good control from Soni. Soni working for the choke. Gonzalez tries to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Soni controls the position. Soni has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soni's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Soni is hanging on to Gonzalez's back as he tries to escape.
Gonzalez looks winded! Gonzalez is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Soni gets his way!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Soni is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tanishk Soni dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Soni feints and as Gonzalez raises his hands in defense, Soni changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gonzalez is looking to stand back up but Soni counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gonzalez. Soni seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Soni is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gonzalez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Soni. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Soni is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gonzalez!
That's one minute gone in the round. Soni tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gonzalez really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Gonzalez is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Soni is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Gonzalez is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Gonzalez flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Soni anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Gonzalez and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Soni slips an arm under Gonzalez chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Soni has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Soni is squeezing on Gonzalez like an anaconda would it's prey. Gonzalez fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tanishk Soni! A relieved looking Tanishk Soni thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
