Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Jerry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil DeBlunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeBlunt has chosen Westside Connection - Bow Down as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Jerry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phil DeBlunt! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeBlunt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. DeBlunt connects with a jab. DeBlunt swings for the body but Jerry moves out of range.
Jerry staying out of range there. DeBlunt works Jerry's body with a nice hook. DeBlunt lands a jab.
It looks like Ben Jerry has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! DeBlunt cracks Jerry with an uppercut from hell and Jerry crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of DeBlunt's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
DeBlunt wants to get up but he can't break Jerry's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DeBlunt sitting in guard, not really doing much. Jerry throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jerry trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Jerry being controlled here, momentarily. DeBlunt preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jerry has a closed guard, preventing DeBlunt from standing up. Jerry is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. DeBlunt loads up on a big right hand but Jerry slips the punch. Jerry slips a jab from DeBlunt. DeBlunt misses with a jab, cross combination.
DeBlunt misses with a series of wild punches.
Jerry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by DeBlunt.
DeBlunt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jerry moves away. Jerry slips a jab and a cross from DeBlunt.
DeBlunt cracks Jerry with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Nice cross by DeBlunt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeBlunt throws the left hand but Jerry avoids the punch easily. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jerry, right into the meat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jerry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by DeBlunt.
DeBlunt just misses with a punch to the body.
Jerry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
DeBlunt scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jerry takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jerry is breathing heavily. DeBlunt throws a hook but Jerry avoids it easily. DeBlunt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jerry.
DeBlunt connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Jerry to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by DeBlunt!
