Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Temujin Lee (ranked 1051 p4p, 145 weight class) and Sergiu Petrescu (ranked 1570 p4p, 215 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Temujin Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sergiu Petrescu! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee looks to land a right hand but Petrescu moved out of range. Lee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Petrescu napping and manages to drive through into side control! Petrescu is not content to let Lee control the position. Lee taking a breather here. Lee goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Petrescu has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lee but great work by Petrescu. Lee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Petrescu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee prevents Petrescu from improving position. Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrescu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working. Petrescu tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Petrescu decides to stand back up. Petrescu steps back and let's Lee get back to his feet. An inside leg kick lands from Lee. Lee jabbing away but nothing is landing. As Lee backs off Petrescu throws a huge counter combo but Lee manages to avoid it all. A head kick by Petrescu misses and Lee counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrescu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lee chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Lee gets a clinch. Lee throws an elbow but it misses.

Lee on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Petrescu is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lee is defending well for now. I was talking to Lee's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Petrescu landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Petrescu blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Petrescu lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lee backwards. Lee misses with a hook from the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A head punch blocked on the inside by Petrescu. Come on Lee - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Petrescu wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Petrescu can't break the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Lee. Petrescu lands with a short shot to the head. Petrescu misses with a short punch on the inside. Lee is trying to pull guard but Petrescu turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Lee misses with a hook from the clinch. Lee pulls guard successfully.
Lee is trying to control the position but Petrescu postures up. Lee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Petrescu controls the pace. Lee looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee tries to land a sweep but no joy. Petrescu wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position. Petrescu is still trying to improve position. Lee is trying to keep Petrescu in close.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Lee looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Temujin Lee will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Petrescu misses with a left hand and Lee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Petrescu works Lee's body with a nice hook. Petrescu on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lee. Lee obviously looking to wear him down.
Lee chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Petrescu can pounce on him.
Petrescu misses with a hook. Lee steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Petrescu. Petrescu dips to his left and cracks Lee with an uppercut! Petrescu misses with a body kick. Lee looks to score with a jab to the body but Petrescu is just out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrescu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Lee looks for a takedown but Petrescu sprawls well. Petrescu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee tests Petrescu's chin there with a solid looking shot. Petrescu swinging wildly here.
Sergiu Petrescu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lee looks to throw the jab but Petrescu is out of range. Lee throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Petrescu sees it coming and avoids it easily. Petrescu sizes up Lee with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Lee connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Lee tries to clinch up but Petrescu circles away and keeps his distance. Lee misses with a kick to the body and Petrescu counters with a lovely straight right hand! Temujin Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee throws a body kick that misses. Lee throws a sloppy body shot
and Petrescu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lee looks to throw the jab but Petrescu is out of range. Petrescu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lee. Lee throws a leg kick and Petrescu counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Petrescu looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Petrescu staying out of range there. Petrescu is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Lee tries to clinch there but Petrescu circles away.
Petrescu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Petrescu has momentary wrist control but Lee slips an elbow through the middle. Lee trying to control but Petrescu is working from the bottom. Lee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Lee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Petrescu for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee trying to control but Petrescu is working from the bottom. Lee throws a big right hand that misses. Lee won't allow Petrescu to sweep him here. Lee throws a big elbow that misses. Petrescu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lee controls the pace. Lee is looking to work some ground and pound but Petrescu has wrist control. Lee looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Petrescu throws a low kick, looking for Lee's leg but Lee calmly moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Petrescu throws out a leg kick but Lee moves out of range and Petrescu only half commits. Lee stuns Petrescu with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Petrescu takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Lee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Petrescu fakes the leg kick and cracks Lee in the body. Petrescu throws out a loose jab but Lee uses good head movement to avoid it. Petrescu swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee. Petrescu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lee lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Lee slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Petrescu checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Temujin Lee dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown and Petrescu counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lee checks the leg kick nicely there.
Lee connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Petrescu momentarily.
Temujin Lee is winning the standup battle so far. Petrescu keeps the fight on the outside. Decent striking displayed by Lee there. Petrescu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lee. Lee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Petrescu.
Lee blocks a leg kick. Lee drops down looking for a counter takedown but Petrescu sprawls and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrescu misses with a leg kick. Petrescu moves out of range of the strikes. Lee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lee darts in trying to clinch and Petrescu counters with a stiff right hand. Petrescu throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease. Lee thinks about countering with a body kick. Lee misses with a low kick as Petrescu jumps back. Lee thumps Petrescu with a low kick. A combination from Petrescu does no damage. Petrescu avoids the body shot from Lee.
Petrescu keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lee. Lee gets in close and instigates a clinch. A short left from Petrescu. A shot in the inside from Petrescu. Sergiu Petrescu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lee drops down looking for an ankle pick but Petrescu pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lee thuds his shin into the meat of Petrescu's side. Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Petrescu manages to avoid it. Lee closes the distance and clinches up with Petrescu, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes Petrescu against the cage but Petrescu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Temujin Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee misses with a straight right. Petrescu tries a quick counter leg kick but Lee is wise to it. Lee fails with the takedown. Petrescu ducks right into an uppercut from Lee. Lee showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Petrescu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee misses with a left hand and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nice sprawl there from Petrescu as Lee shoots in. Lee displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Petrescu throws out the jab. Petrescu looks to score with a jab to the body but Lee is just out of range. Lee throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Petrescu cracks Lee with a good jab. Lee misses with a lunging right hand
and Petrescu counters with a head kick. Lee instigates a clinch. Still in the clinch, Petrescu scores with a nice short uppercut. Lee blocks an uppercut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Lee. Temujin Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petrescu tries a knee to the head but Lee blocks it.
Petrescu throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lees head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Petrescu with a knee to the head.
Petrescu tries to land knees in the clinch but Lee avoids the damage to the body. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lee just misses with a elbow thrown towards Petrescu's brow. Lee tries to throw a body punch but Petrescu avoids it by throwing Lee back against the cage. Lee tries to pull guard but Petrescu won't allow it.
Petrescu lands with a short shot to the head. A quick uppercut on the inside from Lee. Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Petrescu jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Petrescu misses with a kick to the body so Lee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Lee controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Sergiu Petrescu. I think Lee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
