PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Kick Boxer (ranked 3403 p4p, 330 weight class) and Coco Cobb (ranked 4117 p4p, 393 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Kick Boxer has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kick Boxer seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobb tries to clinch but Boxer is having none of it.
Boxer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cobb takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Cobb has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Boxer.
Boxer looks to land a right hand but Cobb moved out of range.
And Cobb responds with a good body kick, but Boxer manages to step out the way in time.

Boxer gets tackled into the ropes by Cobb. Cobb maintains the clinch.

Boxer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boxer scores with a punch to the head.
Boxer misses with an uppercut. Cobb saw that one coming.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cobb! But no joy.
Boxer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boxer lands a body shot.
Boxer tries a head kick but it misses.
Cobb moves forwards but Boxer connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Cobb throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cobb wants to slow Boxer down by chopping away at his legs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cobb throws a low kick but it's checked well by Boxer.
A combination from Boxer does no damage.
Cobb lands a nice shot that snaps Boxer's head back.
Boxer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
It seemed like Cobb was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Cobb fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Boxer is out of range.

Boxer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cobb thumps Boxer with a low kick.
Cobb displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boxer throws out the jab.
Kick Boxer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cobb tries to land a front kick but Boxer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cobb crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Boxer - the referee stops the clock and Cobb gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Boxer. Cobb manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
