Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darius Frank (ranked 4398 p4p, 485 weight class) and Lewis Temby (ranked 4406 p4p, 486 weight class). Temby has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. Lewis Temby is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Frank !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lewis Temby!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank throws a lazy uppercut
and Temby counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Frank thinking.

Temby clinches with his opponent.
Temby blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Frank prevents a takedown attempt there.

Frank breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Frank misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed right hand from Frank misses the target.
Temby throws a right hand that Frank ducks under and follows up with a left that Frank also avoids with ease.
Temby has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Temby there as he acknowledges the shot.
Temby slips a jab from Frank .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Temby scores with a decent looking hook.
Frank with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Temby connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frank connects with a body shot that sends Temby's belly button to the back.

Some wild striking there from Frank .
Temby throws a hook but Frank avoids it easily.
Frank takes a swing at Temby's ribcage but misses.
Darius Frank is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Frank throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Temby throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Frank tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Temby is in Frank 's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Temby postures up in Frank 's guard and throws a big left but Frank blocks it.
Temby lands a couple of digs.
Temby with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Temby is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Temby throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Frank avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Darius Frank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frank cracks Temby with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Frank throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Temby sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Temby fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Frank sprawls well initially but Temby persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Temby seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Temby not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Temby content to control rather than advance.
My spies in London MMA Club inform me that Temby has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Temby connects with a nice short shot to Frank 's temple.
Frank knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Temby on the ground.
Temby performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Temby is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Temby takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Temby thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Frank blocking the ground and pound attempt from Temby.
Temby throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Temby moves away from the strike by Frank .
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lewis Temby will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Temby blocks a jab.
Temby is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Temby looks to land a right hand but Frank moved out of range.
Frank walks into a left hand.
Temby misses with a jab, cross combination.
Frank looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Temby closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Frank 's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Temby accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Temby is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Temby has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Temby throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Frank works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Temby is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Temby is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Temby working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Frank throws a sloppy body shot
and Temby counters with a three punch combo that has Frank backing up. Frank nods at Temby to acknowledge the strikes.
Temby blocks a jab.
Temby works the jab nicely.
Temby throws a series of punches but Frank avoids them all with ease.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Temby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Frank manages to avoid it.
Frank pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Temby moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


Frank is rocked!
Frank throws a left and a right that both miss
and Temby counters with a stiff right hand.
Oh Frank is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Temby connects with a body shot that sends Frank 's belly button to the back.
Frank throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Temby counters with a left and a right... And another left! Frank is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lewis Temby!
During a confident post fight interview, Lewis Temby thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
