Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marc Spector (ranked 295 p4p, 15 weight class) and Phil Harrass (ranked 670 p4p, 34 weight class). Harrass has chosen Tomorrow as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marc Spector! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Harrass! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harrass uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Spector. Marc Spector seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harrass connects with a leg kick. Spector looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Spector uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Harrass. Spector gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Harrass's corner calls for a 1-2. Harrass obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Harrass moves into the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Harrass. Harrass's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Harrass blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harrass tries to stall but Spector uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Harrass works on Spector's body with a couple of short punches. Spector working aggressively here.
Harrass swings wildly with an uppercut but Spector uses good head movement to avoid it. Spector lands a shot to the body. Harrass working some nice short punches in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spector lands with a short shot to the head. Spector's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Spector lands a shot to the body. Spector misses with a punch on the inside.
Harrass misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Spector can't find room to land a body shot as Harrass controls the action.

Spector misses with a hook from the clinch. Harrass tries to score a body lock takedown but Spector shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Harrass blocking some punches.
Spector throws a punch but it's blocked by Harrass. Harrass prevents a body shot from Spector. Harrass pushes Spector back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Spector swings wildly with an uppercut but Harrass uses good head movement to avoid it. Harrass is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Spector is defending well. Harrass tries to circle away but Spector has him pinned against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Harrass. Spector tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Spector tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Harrass misses with a hook from the clinch. Harrass breaks from the clinch.
Spector takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spector buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Harrass lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Spector throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Harrass stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Spector seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Harrass blocks a leg kick. Spector backing away here, and Harrass unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Harrass scores with a nice head shot. Spector throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Harrass sees it coming and avoids it easily. Spector moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Harrass misses with a looping right.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good leg kick by Spector there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Harrass dives in for a single leg takedown but Spector sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Marc Spector has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Harrass. Spector throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
It seemed like Harrass was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Harrass slips under a jab. Spector lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Spector pushes Harrass away with a front kick. Spector throws a leg kick that misses. Spector gets off balance looking for a body kick and Harrass counters with a nice low kick that buckles Spector's knee momentarily. Harrass throws a nice inside leg kick. Spector throws a chopping leg kick but Harrass manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Some bone on bone action there as Harrass checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Spector lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spector tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harrass swats him away and circles back towards the center. Spector swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. An inside leg kick lands from Harrass. Nice body punch from Harrass. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harrass goes for a double leg but Spector avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Spector continues to drive forward. Harrass throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Spector throwing a counter right hand but Harrass manages to avoid it. Harrass listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Spector walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Spector misses with a wild body shot. Spector fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Harrass checks it well. Spector throws a front kick aimed at Harrass's knee but Harrass avoids it well. Harrass swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Spector tries to land a front kick but Harrass steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Harrass lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Marc Spector will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Harrass swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Harrass with a nice cross. Phil Harrass seems to be getting the better of the standup. Harrass throws a right and a left that both miss. Good work by Harrass as he checks the leg kick. Harrass throws out a counter right but Spector avoids it with no problem. Spector throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Harrass. Spector lands a nice leg kick that just misses Harrass's sensitive parts. Harrass feints and then cracks Spector's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Spector down. Harrass will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Spector swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Harrass gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Spector throws a jab when Harrass was well out of range. Spector misses with a leg kick. Harrass moves out of range as Spector strikes. Spector misses with a wild body shot. Spector throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Harrass sees it coming and avoids it easily. Harrass throws out a counter right but Spector avoids it with no problem. Harrass has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Spector finds it's way round the side to connect with Harrass's head. Spector connects with a single shot there. Spector throws a leg kick that is checked and Harrass counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harrass tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spector sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harrass somewhat. Harrass pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spector scores with a one two! Harrass had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Harrass is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice body kick from Spector. Harrass is still on wobbly legs! Can Spector finish him? Spector throws an uppercut from hell that sends Harrass clean off his feet! He's out cold! Spector stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Marc Spector! Marc Spector retains his bantamweight title! Our winner, Marc Spector, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
