Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Sewer Rat (ranked 9662 p4p, 808 weight class) and Minobu Kurita (ranked 23417 p4p, 899 weight class). Kurita has chosen Game of Thrones as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Minobu Kurita!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rat lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Rat throws a right and a left that both miss.
A punch combination from Rat misses.
Kurita moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like The Sewer Rat has been cut.
Kurita fails to land with a series of punches.
Kurita cracks Rat with a right hand to the side of the head.
Rat lands with a nice body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rat misses with a body kick.

Kurita throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rat.
Rat fails to land with a series of punches.
Kurita scores with a sloppy right hand. Rat should have avoided that one.
We've been told by Rat's head coaches at School of Hard Knocks that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kurita throws a series of punches but Rat moves out of range.
Rat is aggressively charging in as Kurita backs up avoiding any damage. Kurita tosses out a jab and Rat runs right into it face first! Rat is out cold! Kurita dropped down on all fours and is barking in Rat's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Minobu Kurita!
