Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joey Hatton (ranked 6313 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Cage (ranked 6550 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joey Hatton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ken Cage!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cage has Hatton up against the cage in a clinch.
Cage is working for takedown but Hatton is calmly controlling the position for now.

Hatton jumps guard and drags Cage to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Cage stopping the sweep attempt from Hatton.
Cage controlling from the top position.
Hatton is controlling Cage's posture.
Cage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hatton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hatton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cage wants to pass the guard but Hatton is keeping the position.
Cage seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Cage looks to score with a jab to the body but Hatton is just out of range.
Hatton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cage tries to counter by closing the distance.
Cage tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hatton swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cage fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hatton, pushing him back against the cage.
Cage tries a body shot but Hatton blocks it.

Hatton wants the takedown. Cage is fighting it off but Hatton persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cage's guard against the cage.
Cage is controlling Hatton's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cage keeping moving, preventing Hatton from controlling successfully.
Hatton is fighting to break Cage's control of his arms but Cage is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Cage looking for subs off his back but Hatton has passed one foot through into half guard.
Cage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Cage is positioning himself well to prevent Hatton advancing to mount.

Hatton wants to control from the top but Cage keeps moving.
Cage is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hatton swings for the body but Cage moves out of range.
Cage fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hatton feints and as Cage raises his hands in defense, Hatton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cage pulls Hatton in close to his closed guard and prevents Hatton from doing any damage or advancing position.
Cage is looking to sweep but instead, Hatton has passed into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Cage trying to get back to full guard but Hatton takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Cage pulls Hatton in close to his closed guard and prevents Hatton from doing any damage or advancing position.
Cage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hatton manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hatton wants to sweep but no luck.
Cage showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Hatton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cage's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Joey Hatton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Cage drives through and clinches with Hatton against the cage.

Cage gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Hatton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cage can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ken Cage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cage jumps into guard, dragging Hatton to the mat.

Ken Cage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Cage keeps trying to improve his position.
Cage is squirming around, avoiding Hatton's attempts to control the action.
Cage regains half guard.
Hatton wants to stand up but Cage has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Cage keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Hatton prevents Cage from improving his position.
Cage wants to control the action here but instead Hatton manages to pass to full mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
