Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Patrick McGuire (ranked 22091 p4p, 776 weight class) and John Walker (ranked 4650 p4p, 520 weight class). McGuire comes to the ring accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - The Warrior's Code . Walker has chosen Another One Bites the Dust as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire looks to score with a jab to the body but Walker is just out of range.
Walker steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from McGuire.
McGuire looks to land a body kick but Walker moved away.
McGuire looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Walker has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Walker there as he acknowledges the shot.
McGuire takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
McGuire ducks under a wild hook from Walker.
McGuire walks into a straight right hand from Walker.
McGuire throws a sloppy head kick
and Walker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
McGuire throws a big shot that misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McGuire crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Walker - the referee stops the clock and McGuire gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Walker. McGuire manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McGuire moves away.

McGuire clobbers Walker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Walker scores with a hook to the body. McGuire takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McGuire throws a front kick aimed at Walker's knee but Walker avoids it well.
Walker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Walker throws a hook to the side of McGuire's head but McGuire sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That was a close round but I would say that Patrick McGuire will probably get the nod.

Patrick McGuire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Walker is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McGuire rather than just go for the knockout.

Walker lands with a kick to the temple. McGuire shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

McGuire throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

McGuire fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Walker manages to avoid it.
