Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taiga Jim!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jim drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Tyrone Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Jim felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Tyrone Jones slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Jim lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

and Jim makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jim fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jim! But no joy.
Jim has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jim walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Jim limp body while Tyrone Jones jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

After the fight, Russell Tyrone Jones was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
