PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Morgan Wade (ranked 3361 p4p, 342 weight class) and Great Gonzo (ranked 5556 p4p, 486 weight class). Wade comes to the ring accompanied by The Bleeding. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzo tries to clinch up but Wade circles away and keeps his distance.

Gonzo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wade can pounce on him.

Gonzo tries to close the distance and clinch but Wade swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wade fakes the leg kick and cracks Gonzo in the body.
Wade comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wade has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Wade cracks Gonzo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wade throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gonzo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gonzo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wade circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've been informed that Gonzo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Gonzo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Wade lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A relieved looking Morgan Wade thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
