Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Phil McKinnen (ranked 7854 p4p, 653 weight class) and Tien Shinhan (ranked 7992 p4p, 657 weight class). McKinnen comes into the arena with Young Cardinals blaring out of the sound system. Shinhan has chosen Breaking Benjamin - Lights Out as his entrance music. Phil McKinnen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil McKinnen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Tien Shinhan!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKinnen checks a low kick from Shinhan.
Shinhan tries to land a leg kick but McKinnen saw it coming and moves away.
Shinhan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like McKinnen was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Shinhan.
Tien Shinhan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Shinhan - that will leave a mark!
McKinnen is breathing heavily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Shinhan.
Shinhan lands a head kick that bluckles McKinnen and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Shinhan no doubt looking to push for a finish!
McKinnen is rocked!
It looks like Phil McKinnen has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McKinnen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Oh McKinnen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shinhan looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Shinhan backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks McKinnen's temple! It sends McKinnen violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Shinhan celebrates and the doctors try to help McKinnen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Tien Shinhan!
Tien Shinhan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
