Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Steve Hicks (ranked 21030 p4p, 599 weight class) and Cain Jones (ranked 5259 p4p, 426 weight class). Jones has chosen Hell's Bells- AC/DC as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cain Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Hicks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Cain Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hicks counters with a right hand to the body.
An inside leg kick from Jones misses.
Hicks misses with a wild body shot.
Jab by Hicks.
Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hicks looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jones blocks a jab.
Hicks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Hicks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


It looks like Steve Hicks has been cut.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hicks manages to avoid it.
Jones tries to bum rush Hicks with a series of wild strikes but Hicks uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A little feinted left hand from Hicks on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Jones throws a series of punches but Hicks moves out of range.
Hicks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hicks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Hicks counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jones thinking.

The crowd cheers as Hicks lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones doesn't seem phased though.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hicks stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Hicks jabs Jones to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cain Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hicks fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hicks's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hicks duly obliges.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Hicks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Hicks on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jones. Jones obviously looking to wear him down.

As Hicks backs off Jones throws a huge counter combo but Hicks manages to avoid it all.
Jones throws a right hand that Hicks ducks under and follows up with a left that Hicks also avoids with ease.

Hicks is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Hicks is looking to wear down Jones with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Jones takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Cain Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hicks uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones looks to land a left hand but Hicks moved out of range nicely.

Hicks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hicks clobbers Jones with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The fighters circle momentarily. Hicks darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Hicks connects with a quick right hand that sends Jones tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
