Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chul Gun Joon (ranked 2438 p4p, 239 weight class) and Cayden Cadman (ranked 3735 p4p, 368 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chul Gun Joon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cayden Cadman !
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cadman moves into the clinch successfully.
Cadman is pressed up against the ropes. Joon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cadman down to the mat. Cadman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Cadman moves into range and clinches up with Joon.

Cadman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cadman lands a slapping body shot.

Cadman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Cadman is pressed up against the ropes. Joon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cadman down to the mat. Cadman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Cadman takes the fight into the clinch.
Joon tries to land a knee to the head but Cadman blocks with his arms.
Joon definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Cadman breaks from the clinch.

Joon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Joon showed some decent athleticism there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Joon wants to advance to full mount but Cadman doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Joon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cadman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cadman has escaped and now he's on top!

Joon on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Joon tries to get out of the position.

Joon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
I've been told that Cadman has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Cadman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Joon throws a hook but Cadman blocks it.
Cayden Cadman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Cadman has Joon pushed against the ropes.

Joon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cadman regains guard immediately.
Joon is pushing down on Cadman 's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cadman is fighting to maintain full guard but Joon has managed to sneak the leg through.

Joon is working for a submission of some sort.
Cadman is trying to control but can't.

Cadman holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Cadman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Joon.
Joon is looking to stall here but Cadman recovers full guard.
Cadman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Cadman keeping moving, preventing Joon from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Joon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cadman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Chul Gun Joon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Joon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cadman fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Cadman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cayden Cadman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Cadman gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cadman prevents the takedown attempt.
Joon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cadman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Joon lands a takedown into guard.
Cadman has Joon pulled in close to control his posture.
Joon wants to control from the top but Cadman keeps moving.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cadman holds on and takes a little breather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Cadman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Joon stands up over Cadman , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Cadman controls Joon momentarily but Joon frees himself.
Cadman pulls Joon in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Cadman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Joon tries to keep at a distance but Cadman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cadman misses with a punch on the inside.
Joon wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chul Gun Joon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Joon blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Cadman is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Joon tries to pull guard but Cadman won't allow it.

Joon is trying to drag Cadman to the mat but Cadman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Joon trying to keep a closed guard but Cadman is proving a slippery customer.
Cadman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Joon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Joon has Cadman pulled in close to control his posture.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Chul Gun Joon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Cadman has Joon up against the ropes in a clinch.
Cadman lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Joon looking for a takedown.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Cadman lands a right hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Joon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cadman pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Cadman gets through Joon's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Cadman creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Cayden Cadman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.


Joon is rocked!
Joon swings wildly with an uppercut but Cadman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oh Joon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cadman stalling in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cayden Cadman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Cadman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
