The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Silva manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Otcho pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Otcho throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Silva tries to lock up and control but Otcho gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Otcho misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Otcho Otcho dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Otcho shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Otcho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Otcho tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silva defends well and Otcho ends up having to push Silva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Silva swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Otcho connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Silva momentarily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Otcho is defended easily by Silva.
Silva appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Cecil Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Otcho Otcho.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Otcho tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Otcho somewhat.
Otcho lands with a big left! Silva is wobbled badly! Otcho comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Silva to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
