Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Pat Barry (ranked 3163 p4p, 387 weight class) and John Kyle Romo (ranked 7574 p4p, 651 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Barry might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sweet Dreams. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Kyle Romo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

49 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Kyle Romo! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romo gets tackled into the ropes by Barry. Barry maintains the clinch. Romo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Barry.

We've been informed that Romo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Romo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Barry misses with a knee strike.

Romo throws a nice inside leg kick. Barry takes a shot right to the bread basket. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barry tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Romo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Barry's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Romo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Barry scrambles back to his feet. Romo closes the distance and clinches. Romo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Barry definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Barry ducks into a a hook from Romo and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!
Barry is rocked! A head kick misses from Romo. Barry went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Barry on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Barry on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Romo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Romo throws a nice inside leg kick. Romo throws a head kick that misses. Romo is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Barry rather than just go for the knockout. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Romo misses with a wild body shot. Romo connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Barry onto his butt! Barry bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action. Oh Barry is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Barry moves out of range of the leg kick from Romo. Barry seems to have got his legs back now. Romo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Kyle Romo will take that one after putting his opponent down more than once in the round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Romo connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Barry's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Barry - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
