Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Don Appleberry (ranked 14815 p4p, 773 weight class) and Berto Kin (ranked 9443 p4p, 708 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Berto Kin!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Appleberry takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Appleberry lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Appleberry ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Appleberry explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Kin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Appleberry is looking to counter punch.
Kin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Kin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kin, as that shot connected.
A jab from Appleberry finds it's way through Kin's defenses.
Kin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Appleberry connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Kin's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Kin - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
