Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between James Mitchell (ranked 3167 p4p, 145 weight class) and Tim Greene (ranked 9540 p4p, 322 weight class). Greene has chosen Back In Black as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Mitchell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tim Greene! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mitchell misses with a head kick.
Greene unleashes a big counter combination but Mitchell bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Greene throws a head kick but Mitchell moves out of range.
Mitchell lands with an uppercut that bounces Greene off the ropes and back into range. Mitchell cracks Greene with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Greene fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mitchell throws a quick counter kick to the body but Greene avoids it. Greene throws a nice looking combination but Mitchell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mitchell thuds his right hand into Greene's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Greene lands with a nice combination. Mitchell backs away looking to recover. Greene lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mitchell circles away quickly and effectively. Mitchell seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Mitchell throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Danga de danga de dang - Mitchell scores with a four punch combination! Greene circles away from the clinch attempt.
Greene throws a counter combo. Greene lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mitchell circles away quickly and effectively. It looked like Mitchell wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A nice leg kick lands there from Mitchell. Mitchell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mitchell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Greene just misses with a punch to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mitchell misses with a looping left. Mitchell has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blackscar Fitness in the buildup to the fight. Greene slips a straight right by Mitchell.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Greene takes a body punch but keeps moving. Mitchell misses with a right hand and Greene counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Greene missing with knees to the body.
Greene looks to throw an elbow but misses. Greene throws an elbow but it misses.
Greene blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Mitchell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Greene walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Mitchell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mitchell is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Greene fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Greene throws a sloppy head kick and Mitchell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Greene tries to clinch there but Mitchell circles away.

Both fighters circling a little - Mitchell finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. We've been informed that Greene has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Mitchell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A nice combination there by Greene.
Greene clinches up against the ropes. Mitchell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Greene pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Mitchell swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Greene throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mitchell.
That's one minute gone in the round. Greene wants to clinch up but Mitchell keeps it at a distance. Nice uppercut lands for Mitchell. That snapped Greene's head back.
Greene throws a combination that misses and Mitchell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mitchell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Greene throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Greene tries to clinch up but Mitchell circles away and keeps his distance. Greene avoids the head kick by Mitchell.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Greene just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mitchell's brow. Mitchell tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Greene avoids it. Mitchell can't break the clinch.
Mitchell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice defenses there by Greene. Mitchell takes a swing at Greene's ribcage but misses.

Greene takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. James Mitchell is winning the standup battle so far. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mitchell tries to score with a low kick but Greene moves his leg out of the way. Mitchell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That was a close second round but I would say that James Mitchell will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

James Mitchell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight stays on the outside here - Greene looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mitchell is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Greene pushes Mitchell up against the ropes in a clinch. Mitchell avoids a wild elbow strike from Greene. Mitchell working hard to break the clinch. Mitchell tries to land knees in the clinch but Greene avoids the damage to the body. Greene creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mitchell's defenses. Greene gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. A frustrated look appears on Mitchell's face as he tries to break the clinch. Greene comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Greene just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mitchell's brow. Greene lands an elbow inside. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mitchell is trying to break free. Mitchell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Both fighters working to control the clinch. A body shot lands from Mitchell.
Mitchell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tim Greene has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James Mitchell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A head kick from Mitchell lands but Greene takes it in his stride.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tim Greene. I think Mitchell has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
