Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justin Renfro (ranked 1827 p4p, 224 weight class) and Power Shark (ranked 1780 p4p, 216 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Power Shark enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Justin Renfro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Power Shark! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Renfro throws a hook but Shark avoids it easily. Renfro misses with an uppercut. Shark saw that one coming. Renfro shoots in and drives through. Shark sprawls well. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Shark, as that shot connected.
Renfro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shark manages to avoid it. Shark lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Renfro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Renfro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shark defends it nicely. Shark scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Shark checks a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Renfro thows a left - swing and a miss! Renfro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shark avoids it really well and circles away. Shark looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Renfro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Renfro throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Shark jabs Renfro right on the nose. Renfro blinks but takes it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Renfro scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Renfro throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Renfro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shark has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Renfro is working away from the top position though. Shark is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Renfro scores with a couple of nice shots. Renfro is looking to take a break and control but Shark is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Renfro scoring with strikes to the body and head. Renfro throwing shots but Shark is blocking nicely. Shark keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Renfro throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Renfro is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Renfro working over Shark with some ground and pound. Shark looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ground and pound from Renfro. Renfro moves into full mount! Shark won't be happy about that! Shark holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Renfro tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
This has been an exciting period of action! Renfro punching from mount but Shark doing a good job of avoiding damage. Renfro wants to control the pace but Shark is squirming around nicely. Renfro thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shark suckers Renfro into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Shark is now in Renfro's guard!
Shark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Renfro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Renfro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Renfro controls Shark momentarily but Shark frees himself. Renfro tries to land a sweep but no joy. Renfro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shark defends well. Shark forces his way into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Renfro slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Renfro trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Renfro doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Shark controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Shark must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Renfro bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shark's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Renfro is fighting to break Shark's control of his arms but Shark is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Renfro trying to control but Shark is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Renfro dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A jab from Shark does it's job there. No luck with that takedown attempt from Renfro. Renfro looks for the body kick but Shark saw that one coming. Justin Renfro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Renfro takes one to the side of the head.
Renfro takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Shark scores with a sloppy right hand. Renfro should have avoided that one. Shark scores with a shot to the body.

Renfro drops his hands momentarily and Shark takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Renfro dives in for a single leg takedown but Shark sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Renfro shoots for a double leg takedown but Shark sprawls well. He's pushed Renfro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Renfro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Renfro closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shark quickly recovers to half guard. Shark is not content to let Renfro control the position. Renfro sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Shark defending well though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shark tries to clinch there but Renfro circles away.
Renfro swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Shark gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Renfro to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Renfro with a flurry of punches that miss. Renfro in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Renfro throws a strike but Shark rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Renfro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Renfro throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Shark slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Renfro. Renfro wants to sweep but Shark has passed to side control!

Renfro looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The fighters are battling for position here. Renfro manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Shark showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Renfro tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Justin Renfro will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Renfro throws a combination that misses and Shark counters with a nice uppercut. Renfro shoots in but no luck this time. Shark on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Nice shot by Shark. Renfro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shark but Shark pushes him off and we're back to square one. Shark fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Renfro is rocked! Renfro switches off momentarily and Shark cracks him with a monster right hand! Renfro topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Shark dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Shark!
