Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Street Fighter (ranked 241 p4p, 28 weight class) and Brando Reigns (ranked 591 p4p, 70 weight class). Fighter comes to the cage accompanied by You Know How I Do It. Reigns has chosen Tragedy as his entrance music. Street Fighter could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Brando Reigns's chin.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brando Reigns! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reigns gets tackled into the cage by Fighter. Fighter maintains the clinch. Fighter blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Fighter throws a jab but it's blocked by Reigns. Reigns takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Reigns is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looked like Fighter was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Reigns tries to score with a low kick but Fighter moves his leg out of the way. Fighter was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. A bone on bone clash there as Fighter blocks the leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Fighter scores with a decent looking hook. Fighter looks to land a body kick but Reigns moved away. Fighter fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Reigns on the side of the head. The fighters circling - Fighter throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Fighter throws a big shot that misses. A little jabbing left from Reigns on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Reigns connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fighter momentarily.

The judges will like that one. Fighter scores with a sloppy right hand. Reigns should have avoided that one. Reigns lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fighter's sensitive parts. Reigns misses the shot to the body. Fighter tried to counter with a leg kick but Reigns avoided it. Fighter throws a hook but Reigns blocks it. Reigns tries a quick counter leg kick but Fighter is wise to it. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Reigns lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fighter has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fighter and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Reigns throws a leg kick and Fighter counters with a stiff right hand. Fighter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reigns manages to avoid it. Reigns misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fighter.

Fighter moves out of range as Reigns throws a body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter forces his way into half guard. Fighter content to control rather than advance. Reigns has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fighter is working away from the top position though. Fighter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Fighter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Fighter is thwarting Reigns's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Well, if Fighter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Reigns is not content to let Fighter control the position. Fighter working Reigns over with strikes. Reigns is not content to let Fighter control the position. Fighter throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Fighter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reigns can do to turn this around? Fighter tries to pass the half guard into mount. Reigns knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Fighter missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Some bone on bone action there as Fighter checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter throws a leg kick but Reigns sees it coming and checks it nicely. Fighter checks a leg kick nicely. Reigns tries to keep at a distance but Fighter has taken the fight into the clinch. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fighter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Reigns on the wrong end of a nice jab. Fighter shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Fighter fails with a takedown attempt. Reigns with a lazy takedown attempt and Fighter counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Fighter lands the left hand. Reigns fails with the takedown and Fighter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Reigns fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Street Fighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brando Reigns. Reigns fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reigns throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Fighter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Reigns steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Fighter tries to move into range but Reigns moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A punch lands to the side of Reigns 's head but he takes it in his stride. Fighter lands a jab to the head.

and Reigns counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Fighter! You can see the frustration on Fighter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Reigns throws an elbow but Fighter slips to the side and avoids it well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reigns takes a little break here. Fighter wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Fighter can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Reigns is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Reigns goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Fighter has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Reigns but great work by Fighter. Fighter working the ground and pound. Fighter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reigns keeps working. Reigns is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fighter's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Fighter performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Reigns trying to control but Fighter postures up.
