Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bartholomäus Wolff (ranked 465 p4p, 39 weight class) and Butch Vandergnaw (ranked 1791 p4p, 191 weight class). Vandergnaw comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I've Been Everywhere kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bartholomäus Wolff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Butch Vandergnaw!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vandergnaw ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wolff moves away.
Wolff jabs at Vandergnaw's body.
Wolff moves out of range of the strikes.
Vandergnaw throws the left hand but Wolff avoids the punch easily.
Vandergnaw misses with a straight right.
Wolff swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Vandergnaw.
A good leg kick by Wolff.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vandergnaw has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Wolff keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Butch Vandergnaw has been cut.
Vandergnaw looks to land a right hand but Wolff moved out of range.
Wolff thinks about countering with a body kick.
Vandergnaw slips a straight right by Wolff.
Vandergnaw looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Vandergnaw misses with an uppercut. Wolff saw that one coming.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wolff. Vandergnaw shrugs it off though.
Vandergnaw throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wolff sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vandergnaw throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wolff connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vandergnaw is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick by Wolff - that's a beauty! Vandergnaw is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Wolff can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bartholomäus Wolff!
After the fight, Bartholomäus Wolff was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
