Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Glatt (ranked 3343 p4p, 431 weight class) and Kelvin Handleman (ranked 2229 p4p, 304 weight class). Glatt comes to the cage accompanied by Killed by death. Handleman has chosen Pride FC Theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Doug Glatt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kelvin Handleman! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Glatt doesn't manage to clinch there - Handleman circles away.
Handleman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Glatt sees it coming and avoids it easily. Handleman connects with a single shot there. Glatt throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Handleman throws out a counter right but Glatt avoids it with no problem. Handleman misses with a straight left. Glatt lands a high kick!
It looks like Kelvin Handleman has been cut. Glatt throws a head kick that Handleman semi-blocks.
Handleman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Handleman takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Glatt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Handleman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Handleman misses with an uppercut. A big left from Glatt misses. Glatt motions for Handleman to come forward. Glatt throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Glatt slips a jab from Handleman. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Glatt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Handleman.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glatt is looking to clinch but Handleman is avoiding it.
Handleman is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Glatt moves forwards but Handleman connects with a nice, crisp jab. Glatt takes the fight into the clinch. Glatt can't find room to land a body shot as Handleman controls the action.

Glatt working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Handleman tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Maybe Glatt would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. A head punch blocked on the inside by Handleman. Glatt tries to break free but Handleman pushes him back against the cage. Handleman tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Glatt lands with a right to the head. Handleman lands a hook that snaps the head of Glatt backwards. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Glatt. Nice body punch from Glatt. Glatt lands a left hand.
Glatt throws a punch but it's blocked by Handleman. I was talking to Glatt's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Handleman throws a punch but it's blocked by Glatt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Handleman tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Glatt digs a right hand into Handleman's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Handleman's gas tank. Handleman tries to throw a body punch but Glatt avoids it by throwing Handleman back against the cage. Handleman tightens his grip and picks Glatt up, before dumping him to the ground. Glatt manages to land in guard. Glatt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Glatt looking for a sweep. Not yet Glatt, not yet. Handleman is looking to work some ground and pound but Glatt has wrist control. Handleman throws an elbow that misses. Glatt uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Handleman's guard. Nice move by Glatt!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Handleman wants to sweep but no luck. Handleman keeps trying to improve his position. Glatt engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Handleman pulls Glatt in to control the position. Glatt won't allow Handleman to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Handleman pulls Glatt in close to prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Handleman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Glatt.
Handleman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Glatt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Handleman sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Glatt is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Handleman connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Glatt some visible discomfort.

Handleman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Handleman moves into full mount! Glatt won't be happy about that! Handleman content just to control the position here. Handleman goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Glatt is on top in guard.
Handleman wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Handleman working a defensive guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Glatt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Handleman's guard. Handleman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Glatt is stalling in the full guard. Handleman wants to sweep but no luck. Glatt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Handleman looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Handleman wants to sweep here but Glatt controlling him for the moment. Handleman working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Glatt has passed into half guard!
Handleman has his hands clasped together around Glatt's back. He's all about the action. Handleman is looking for a sweep. Glatt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glatt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Handleman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Glatt misses with a straight left. Glatt avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Glatt misses with a wild combination.
Glatt gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Handleman. Glatt lands with a cross. Handleman fails to land the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Handleman throws a jab when Glatt was well out of range. Glatt throws a right and a left that Handleman avoids nicely. Glatt tries a head kick but it misses.
Glatt walks into a left hand. Glatt is looking to land body kicks. Glatt scores with a shot to the body.
Doug Glatt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Handleman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Handleman moves away from the strike by Glatt. Handleman is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. This has been an exciting period of action! Handleman checks a leg kick. Glatt with a body punch. A glancing blow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Handleman misses with an uppercut. Glatt saw that one coming. Handleman scores with a nice strike. Handleman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Doug Glatt will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kelvin Handleman's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Handleman is rocked! Glatt throws a series of punches but Handleman avoids them all with ease. Handleman drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Glatt defends it well. Handleman is still on wobbly legs! Can Glatt finish him? Glatt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Handleman. Handleman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Glatt moves away. Glatt seems to be stalking Handleman here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Handleman drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Doug Glatt! Doug Glatt decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. Kelvin Handleman was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm a fucking man and no one will ever question that because I am a man before I am a fighter and to have some pussy that sits behind a computer all day question my manhood pisses me off...'.
