Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Braddock (ranked 106 p4p, 10 weight class) and Bobby Pickledoo (ranked 486 p4p, 45 weight class). Pickledoo has chosen Butthole Surfers - Who Was in My Room Last Night as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Pickledoo! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Braddock looks to score with a jab to the body but Pickledoo is just out of range. Braddock scores with a one two! Pickledoo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Braddock has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pickledoo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Braddock has him pressed against the cage. Braddock throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Braddock pressing his opponent against the cage. Pickledoo struggles to land a body shot inside as Braddock controls his hands.
Braddock blocks a body shot from Pickledoo. Pickledoo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Braddock's elbow. Braddock stalling in the clinch but Pickledoo improves position. I was talking to Braddock's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Braddock lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pickledoo backwards. Braddock gets through Pickledoo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pickledoo takes a shot to the head. Braddock lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pickledoo backwards. Braddock scores with a shoulder strike. A short left from Braddock.

Braddock is working some dirty boxing. Braddock pushes off with a quick right hook! Pickledoo goes down! Pickledoo tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Braddock moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Braddock! A less than humble John Braddock misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
