Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Bruce Kang (ranked 18726 p4p, 713 weight class) and Fred Sherman (ranked 4311 p4p, 475 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Fred Sherman enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Kang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Fred Sherman! The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherman thuds a left hand into Kang's body. Kang misses with a body shot.
Kang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sherman throws a body punch but Kang moves out of range. Sherman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Sherman jabs at Kang's body. We've been informed that Sherman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kang moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Fred Sherman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sherman swings for the body but Kang moves out of range.
Sherman has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sherman there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Fred Sherman has been cut. Kang misses with a low kick as Sherman jumps back. That kick from Sherman tenderised Kang's leg. Kang is trying to keep his angry face on. Kang clinches. Kang lands a nice uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kang lands a nice elbow. Kang lands a body shot in the clinch.

Sherman blocks a body shot from Kang. With the fighters up against the ropes, Kang throws an elbow but misses. Kang throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Kang lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Sherman blocks an uppercut.
Kang keeps control of Sherman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Sherman is trying to break the clinch but Kang has him pressed against the ropes. Kang misses with a hook to the ribs.

Kang throws a punch but it's blocked by Sherman. Kang is leaning against Sherman and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Kang lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kang lands with a light punch inside. Kang pushes off an throws an elbow but Sherman leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes. Sherman prevents a body shot from Kang. Kang tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sherman's elbow. Sherman avoids the elbow strike from Kang, against the ropes.
Sherman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kang has him pressed against the ropes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Kang dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fred Sherman's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kang forces Sherman back against the ropes and clinches. Kang has Sherman pressed against the ropes, preventing Sherman from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Kang goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kang tries to work over Sherman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Sherman avoids a wild elbow strike from Kang. Sherman breaks from the clinch.
Sherman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kang fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sherman throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Kang counters with a straight right hand. Sherman is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kang rather than just go for the knockout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kang rushes Sherman and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Bruce Kang has scored more points in the clinch so far. Kang swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. A nice glancing elbow lands by Kang. Kang is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sherman can do to turn this around? Kang working aggressively here.
Kang gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Kang throws a head punch that misses. Kang tries to work over Sherman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A right hook to the body lands for Kang.

That has opened up Fred Sherman's cut even more. Kang tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sherman's elbow. Sherman is trying to force a seperation but Kang has the dominant position. Kang misses with a punch on the inside.
Sherman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kang has him pressed against the ropes.

Kang lands an elbow inside that Sherman shrugs off. Sherman wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Kang scores with a nice short uppercut. Kang misses with an elbow over the top. Kang keeps control of Sherman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kang. Kang lands a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A short left from Kang. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Kang dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Fred Sherman's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Kang forces Sherman back against the ropes and clinches. Kang lands on the inside with an uppercut. I was talking to Kang's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Kang throws an elbow that misses.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. A nice left hand lands by Kang.
Kang scores with a shot to the side of Sherman's head. A nice right hand lands inside from Kang.
The cut above Fred Sherman's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Kang makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kang doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Fred Sherman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A nice right hand lands inside from Kang. Kang is leaning against Sherman and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Kang creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sherman's defenses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kang with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Kang tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Sherman tries to break free but Kang pushes him back against the ropes. Kang misses with a short punch on the inside. A frustrated look appears on Sherman's face as he tries to break the clinch. A short uppercut from Kang. Kang works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Sherman misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kang lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sherman. Kang throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Kang working aggressively here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kang lands a right hand. Bruce Kang is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A right handed body shot lands from Kang.
Sherman blocks an elbow strike from Kang.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Kang just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sherman's brow. Sherman is trying to push Kang away but Kang has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Kang lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sherman. A nice left hand lands by Kang.
Fred Sherman's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Sherman misses with a hook to the ribs.
A shot in the inside from Kang. Sherman tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kang's elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Bruce Kang showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kang, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
