Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shawn McLean (ranked 4268 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Williams (ranked 2618 p4p, 0 weight class). McLean comes to the cage accompanied by I Predict A Riot. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Daniel Williams! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McLean pinned against the cage. McLean gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McLean throws a body shot but no joy. Williams tries to clinch there but McLean circles away.
McLean stuffs the takedown. Williams closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McLean quickly recovers to half guard. McLean has his hands clasped together around Williams's back. He's all about the action. Williams trying to pass the guard but McLean defending well. Williams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. McLean is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McLean looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Still in half guard, McLean seems content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shawn McLean is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
