Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niko Alzate (ranked 1235 p4p, 194 weight class) and Asmund Sykk (ranked 2247 p4p, 334 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Niko Alzate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Asmund Sykk!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sykk scores with a jab to the head.
Sykk avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Alzate cracks Sykk with a good jab.
Alzate drops Sykk with a beautiful combination! Sykk stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Alzate is looking for the KO!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alzate throws the left hand but Sykk avoids the punch easily.
Sykk gets a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Alzate fails to land.
Alzate tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Alzate creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Alzate's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sykk slips under a jab from Alzate.

Alzate drops Sykk with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sykk looks back up at him and smiles so Alzate waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Alzate throws a jab but it's blocked by Sykk.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sykk! But no joy.

Alzate looks to throw the jab but Sykk is out of range.
Alzate backing away here, and Sykk unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Sykk was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Alzate looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Sykk ducks under a wild hook from Alzate.
Alzate throws a hook but Sykk blocks it.
Sykk's jab looks to have found its range, popping Alzate under the eye.

It seemed like Sykk was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Sykk bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Alzate's head.

letting Sykk counter with a right hand.
Sykk ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sykk has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Alzate throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sykk sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Alzate throws a jab when Sykk was well out of range.
Sykk takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Niko Alzate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sykk lands a nice shot that snaps Alzate's head back.
Alzate misses with a few strikes there.
Alzate throws a jab but it's blocked by Sykk.
Sykk looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sykk, right into the meat.

Sykk dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sykk is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Alzate had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Sykk cracks Alzate with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
and Sykk counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Alzate! He's just covering up as Sykk starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
