Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Walter White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Charles! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White connects with a leg kick. Charles looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Charles just misses with a punch to the body.
White misses with the body kick letting Charles counter with a right hand. White looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. White tries to land a front kick but Charles steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. White comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Charles shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. White throws a body shot but no joy. Charles stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from White. Charles checks a leg kick nicely. Charles misses with a hook. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Charles checks a leg kick. Charles moves out of range of the body kick. Charles closes the distance and clinches. Charles stalls. White lands a left hand.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Charles. This has been an exciting period of action! Charles effectively controlling the action here. A nice left hand lands by Charles.
Charles jumps guard and drags White to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Charles trying to keep a closed guard but White is proving a slippery customer.
Charles looking for a triangle here. White is fighting it but it looks tight! Charles pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, White is tapping out - this one is all over!
