Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Francis Fitzpatrick (ranked 371 p4p, 48 weight class) and Frank Dux (ranked 1168 p4p, 141 weight class). Francis Fitzpatrick has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Francis Fitzpatrick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Dux! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fitzpatrick is looking to clinch. Dux shoots in for a takedown but Fitzpatrick shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Dux uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fitzpatrick.
Nice uppercut there from Fitzpatrick. Dux fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dux misses with a takedown and Fitzpatrick makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Francis Fitzpatrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Dux. Fitzpatrick keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fitzpatrick with a body punch. A glancing blow. Dux fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fitzpatrick fails in his attempt to clinch. Dux ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dux avoids the body shot from Fitzpatrick.
Dux shoots in looking for a takedown but Fitzpatrick manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dux's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Dux shoots in for a double leg but Fitzpatrick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fitzpatrick stuffs the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fitzpatrick gets caught napping as Dux dives in and scores a takedown. Fitzpatrick manages to retain guard. Fitzpatrick is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dux is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dux won't allow Fitzpatrick to get back to his feet. Dux stopping the sweep attempt from Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick keeping full guard, as Dux tries to pass. Fitzpatrick pulls Dux in close to prevent any damage. Dux wants to control from the top but Fitzpatrick keeps moving. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dux missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fitzpatrick controlling Dux's posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Dux shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Dux in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dux missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Dux working some strikes from top position. Fitzpatrick is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dux working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dux throws a strike but Fitzpatrick rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dux looking for a sweep. Not yet Dux, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fitzpatrick tries to free his leg and advance position but Dux is retaining full guard. Fitzpatrick has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dux is proving hard to escape from. Fitzpatrick sitting in guard here, content to control. Dux is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Dux is taking a breather. Fitzpatrick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Fitzpatrick is looking for a sweep. Dux is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dux is trying to control the action in half guard but Fitzpatrick is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Fitzpatrick is looking to improve his position.
Fitzpatrick blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dux. Fitzpatrick avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dux. Dux throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fitzpatrick tries to get to full guard but Dux has control of the leg. Fitzpatrick has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dux is working away from the top position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dux is looking for a kimura here.
Dux works his way into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Frank Dux will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dux throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fitzpatrick's waist but Fitzpatrick gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dux off to one side. Fitzpatrick fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dux manages to avoid it. Fitzpatrick stuffs the takedown. Dux throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fitzpatrick's waist but Fitzpatrick gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dux off to one side. Francis Fitzpatrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Dux. Fitzpatrick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dux. Frank Dux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dux shoots and misses and Fitzpatrick counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Still in the clinch, Fitzpatrick scores with a nice short uppercut. Dux gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fitzpatrick regains full guard. Nicely done. Fitzpatrick looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Fitzpatrick is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dux loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fitzpatrick wants to sweep here but Dux controlling him for the moment. Fitzpatrick is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Fitzpatrick avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Dux is fighting to break Fitzpatrick's control of his arms but Fitzpatrick is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Dux looking to pass the guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dux drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fitzpatrick manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dux has Fitzpatrick in his guard. Dux is trying to keep Fitzpatrick in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dux working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fitzpatrick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fitzpatrick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dux is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fitzpatrick gets to his feet. Dux looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! We've been told by Fitzpatrick's head coaches at The Coffee Shop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Dux tries for a takedown but Fitzpatrick sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A quick step to the side and Fitzpatrick tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Fitzpatrick connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dux momentarily.
Dux is rocked! Fitzpatrick ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Dux's jaw. Dux's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Fitzpatrick does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Francis Fitzpatrick! Francis Fitzpatrick tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
