Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Dimitrov (ranked 196 p4p, 21 weight class) and Link Gaetz (ranked 625 p4p, 67 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dimitrov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Drake - Energy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaetz catches Dimitrov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Daniel Dimitrov has been cut.
A lazy left from Gaetz finds it's target.
Gaetz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dimitrov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gaetz chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gaetz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gaetz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gaetz tries a low kick but Dimitrov avoids it.
Gaetz throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Gaetz swings widly with a right hand
enabling Dimitrov to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gaetz cracks the inside of Dimitrov's front leg.
Gaetz looks for the body kick but Dimitrov saw that one coming.
Dimitrov throwing a counter right hand but Gaetz manages to avoid it.
Dimitrov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gaetz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dimitrov scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gaetz steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Dimitrov is out on his feet! Gaetz sets himself and nearly takes Dimitrov's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Link Gaetz!
