The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcon throws a low kick but Gray moves out of range easily.
Gray takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gray looks to land a right hand but Garcon moved out of range.
Garcon tried to score with a low kick but Gray checks it.
Gray moves out of range of the leg kick from Garcon.
Gray throws a looping overhand right but Garcon ducks down to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Garcon pivots, looking for a leg kick but Gray is out of range and Garcon settles back down.
Gray swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Garcon throws a leg kick which misses Gray's front leg but catches the back leg as Gray tries to avoid it.

Gray feints and then cracks Garcon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Garcon down.

and Garcon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gray clobbers Garcon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Garcon moves away from the strike by Gray.

Gray fires out a quick counter leg kick but Garcon just manages to avoid it.

I was talking to Gray's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Oh Gray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Garcon lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gray or not.
Garcon lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gray backwards.
Garcon dips a shoulder and cracks Gray with a mighty uppercut! Gray falls back against the cage and Garcon unloads with a barrage of strikes! Gray is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Garcon screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

A very excited looking Jean Paul Garcon rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
